NEW Troy: Fall of a City Trailer for Netflix
Troy: Fall of a City is a joint venture between the BBC and Netflix. Filmed last year in Capetown, South Africa, episode one premiered on BBC-One, (for UK residents only) on Sat Feb 17. Additional episodes have aired Saturday nights at 9:10.
Good news for the rest of the world... ALL 8 episodes will be available on Friday April 6 on Netflix! Let the binge-watching begin.
Psssst... Don't let the IMDb score (a calculated effort by organized folks who had issues with the casting choices WEEKS BEFORE the first episode even aired) deter you, this is an epic series with brilliant acting, stunning scenery, fresh, flirty love and brutal violence.
For ten years the gods, the Greeks and the Trojans mucked about on the battlefield, in the bedrooms and on the beach. Heartbreak, sacrifice, pride, humiliation, power-plays ... no one survives a decade long war unscathed. It's a fascinating new look at an old tale, told over eight hours.
Loosely based on ancient myths, David Farr uses his imagination as he tells the tragic love story of Prince Paris of Troy and Queen Helen of Sparta.
